Port Vauban Anitbes France

Well in 6 weeks I’m leaving good old NZ for a few years. France here I come to work on super yachts. So as far as car related stuff goes from me. I cant imagine there will be a whole lot of posts. I would like to think ill come back home and build another car maybe give d1 ago in a jzx100! In time i guess we will find out.

Most of the jzx81 is now gone. It has been parted out, so will live on in other cars. Still have a few bits if anyone is keen. Sad to see it go but I’ve had one hell of a good time with it. Learning new skills meeting new friends its been awesome. Although all good things must come to an end to make way for new adventures.

Peace Waz

slow going

SpentĀ  a few hours over the weekend working in the 81. Didn’t feel like i achieved as much as i wanted. Put the Excedy hyper single clutch on, motor and box in and out of the car three times.

Had a difficult time trying to get the new r154 box in the tunnel. The tunnel ended up needing a fair amount of beating in order to get it fitting rite. Also had to cut out part of the gearbox tunnel to fit in the remote shift.

Gearbox x-member worked out mint with next to no modifying need. Managed to sort the intercooler piping out as well. Although im changing all the silcon joiners from that shitty blue to black.

sorry shitty photos, i know.

The time has come

Okay for a few reasons I have made the decission to sell my car. I know i’m going to get a lot of abuse for this but the time has come to move onto something new. I have had 3 years of use from it and have enjoyed almost every bit of it.

I have built this car up from scratch. I know it inside out and its taken a lot of trial and error to get it to a stage that it handles mint and drifts well. This is a chance to own the only car like this in NZ. There is still room for potential improvement as with every car but there is a great base to do d1 rookie or just use it for drift open days.

Best to sent me a message on all the details if you are keen. There is far to much to list so that might be easiest.
